Krisha Foundation was invited by the Students Council and Cultural Committee of Lala Lajpatrai College and H R College of commerce and Economics under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to organize a Webinar for Faculty and Non-Teaching Staff on Financial Freedom – An Investor Awareness Program. In view of the Covid- 19 pandemic, Krisha Foundation was delighted to conduct this program virtually on Zoom platform on the 13th of March 2021 with the objective to create awareness & educate the students on the basics of investment, difference between savings & investment, myths and realities of the securities markets, power of compounding, inflation, benefit of starting early, types of investments to name a few. Dr Neelam Arora , Principal Lala Lajpatrai College and Dr Pooja Ramchandani, I/C Principal, H R College of Commerce & Economics appreciated the effort of Krisha Foundation and Board of Industry-Academia Partnerships (BIAP) in organizing this program. The efforts of Dr. Rahul Shetty from Lala Lajpatrai College and Prof. Atul Sathe from H R College and the IQAC coordinators Prof Rahul Shetty and Dr Jasbir Sodi were recognized.

The program inculcated among the Faculty and Non-Teaching staff the habit of savings & investment planning by understanding their financial needs.

The following are the details of participation at the event.
The event was very well received by all the participants & they thanked the volunteers and trainer for their effort. The trainer oriented the participants on the concept of Ponzi schemes and why such schemes which give you tempting returns should be avoided or well researched as something which is so tempting may be too good to be true.
A Question & Answer round was conducted wherein the students asked questions such as which investment is best during the Pandemic time? What is the minimum return we should expect from equity. Krisha Foundation was successful in creating a positive outlook towards money and money management.
